Myatt Picked as LSC Player of the Week
April 24, 2012RICHARDSON, Texas – League officials announced today that Cameron University pitcher Wade Myatt has been crowned Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Myatt took the mound in the opening game of CU’s series with No. 18 ASU. He delivered a dominate performance, keeping the Rams off balance at the plate. The Colorado-native recorded six strikeouts in the effort and scattered five hits over nine innings. His control was also on display, as the senior walked only one batter during the game. Myatt’s strong game on the mound allowed the Aggies to seal a 3-1 victory in the opener.
Myatt and the CU baseball squad will compete in the Black and Gold’s final home series this weekend against Tarleton State. The first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at McCord Field.
