CU plays hard at Red River Rumble
December 1, 2007WICHITA FALLS, Texas (December 1) –On Saturday December first the Cameron Aggie men and women basketball teams traveled to Wichita Falls, Texas to take on the Midwestern State University Mustangs. The Aggie women played a hard game keeping with the Mustangs throughout both the first and second period. The Aggie women ended the second period tied 57-57 and taking the game into overtime, where the Mustangs took over winning the game 60-71. The Aggie men played rough during their game against Midwestern State, but were unable to pick up the victory losing 68-91.The Aggie women played a tough game keeping up with the Midwestern State University Mustangs throughout the first and second period. With one minute left on the clock at the end of the second period the Cameron Aggies were down 55-57. With four seconds left on the clock at the end of the second period Senior Keindra Scott made a lay-up to tie up the game and go into overtime.
The Aggies took an early lead during overtime but the Mustangs overcame the Aggies leaving the final score at 60-71.
Senior Tiffany Williams lead the Aggies by attaining a double-double ending with 22 points and a total 12 rebounds.
Juniors Jasmine Parr and Keindra Scott also led the Aggies throughout the game. Parr ended with 11 points and a total 6 rebounds. Scott ended the game with a total 16 points and 7 rebounds.
The Aggie Men played a hard game against the Midwestern State Mustangs but the Mustangs were able to overcome the Aggies and win the game 68-91.
Juniors Chad Allan and Greg Morgan also led the Aggies during the game. Allan ended with a total 7 points and 3 rebounds. Morgan ended the game with 18 points and a total 8 rebounds.
The Aggie men and women basketball teams played hard during the Red River Rumble, coming out with two loses leaving the Aggie women’s record at 1-5 and the Aggie men’s record at 0-6. The Aggie men will be in action again this Monday against Oklahoma Panhandle State at 6:00pm in Goodwell, Oklahoma. The Aggie women will be in action again this Thursday against Texas Women's University at 6:00pm in the Aggie Gym.
