Aggie Basketball plays TSU close

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (November 29) - The Aggie men’s and women’s basketball teams traveled to Stephenville, Texas, tonight to play against Tarleton State. The Aggie men and women both came up short but played tough against TSU. The Aggie men lost 61-71, and the Aggie women lost 62-76.

The Aggie women played tough against the undefeated Tarleton State women. The Aggies were behind most of the game but were able to pull their score up during the second period bringing the total score up from 22 at the beginning of the period to ending with a total of 62.

The Aggies were lead by Junior Kendra Scott who got a double-double scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior Jasmine Parr also lead the Aggie women with a total 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The Aggie men were able to keep a lead on Tarleton State up until there was three minutes left in the second period.

The Aggie men played strong against the undefeated Tarleton State men.

Sophomore Greg Morgan helped the Aggies along scoring 13 points and having a total of 6 rebounds.

Junior Leslie Malone led the Aggies throughout the game ending with a double-double having a combined total of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Aggie men and women played tough games against Tarleton State yet were not able to pull out a victory, leaving the Aggie women with a record of 1-4 and the Aggie men with a record of 0-5. The two teams will travel to Wichita Falls, Texas on December 1st to face off against Midwestern University.
