Renowned Cameron football coach Brian Naber was head football coach for the Cameron Aggie program from 1984-1990. Naber's efforts were instrumental in building the success of the Cameron football program and during his tenure the Aggies grew notably as a team. Under his coaching, the Cameron Aggies finished as Runner-up National Champions in 1987 when Naber was also voted the District IX NAIA Coach of the Year. His coaching efforts truly paid off as the Aggies secured a national championship in 1988 and Naber received the March of Dimes Oklahoma Sports Headliner Award in 1988.
