Cameron University Athletics

Hunter played three games for the Aggies in 1942 before joining the Navy. He then returned in 1946 and helped Cameron go 10-1 with a 26-13 win in the Papoose Bowl. That team went 6-0 to become the Oklahoma Junior College Conference Champions and outscored their opponents 271-78. Hunter was named all-conference in 1946 and was one of four running backs to be named to the Cameron All-Star Team through 1949.
