Cameron University Athletics

Poole was a member of the 1961 Junior Rose Bowl National Championship Team and was honored as a third team All-American that year. He started as both an offensive left tackle and defensive middle guard. Poole played for Hall of Fame Coaches Leroy Montgomery and Charlie Dean and was a teammate of Hall of Famer Bob Kelley. He taught, coached, and served as a school administrator for 33 years.
