Aggies beat Alumni, 82-65

Former Aggie Thomas Razor led both teams with 17 points

LAWTON, Okla. -- In an entertaining game at the Aggie Gym  fans got to see Cameron Athletics Hall-of-Famer Lonnie Nichols work the bench one more time.  Nichols team gave current Head Coach Wade Alexander's team a challenge in the early on by it was the 2012-13 Aggie team defeating the Alumni team 82-65. 

The game was interesting in the midway through the first half when the Alumni Team took the lead with the help of 2012 graduate Thomas Razor.  However, Cameron was able to regain the lead taking a 39-34 advantage over the Alumni heading into the half. 

In second half, the 2012-13 Aggies regrouped putting up 43 points in en route to an 82-65 win.  Cameron went 56% (18-32) from the field in the final 20 minutes.

The unofficial stats taken for this game showed that the Alumni team was led by Razor who had 17 points. 2011 graduates Terry Dawson and Nathan Murray also put up double digit points today.

For the 2012-13 Aggies, Kimric Dixon and Tim Johnson hit the double digit mark in points and Trevor Smith pulled down seven rebounds. Johnson also had seven assists in the game.  Rudy Harrell got eight boards in only 12 minutes of action. 

The Points and minutes were spread around for CU as head coach Wade Alexander was trying to get a last look in at what his players could do in a game environment.

Cameron will play their first official game of the season as they play Southwestern Adventist tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Aggie Gym.
