Sarah-Emily Woodward was named the first Women's Cross Country and Track Graduate Assistant in the summer of 2018. A Rockfield, Kentucky native graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. While at APSU, she ran cross country and track, competing in multiple Ohio Valley Conference Championships, serving as the SAAC secretary and on two honor's committees. 

Woodward is the daughter of Bill and Anne Woodward, and has one brother, Kyle. She is pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership and is an aspiring cross country and track and field coach.
