STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Cameron University Cross Country program switched gears with the start of their spring Track & Field season on Thursday at the Tarleton State Invitational.

With four runners in attendance the Aggies competed in the 800, 1500, and 5000 meter race.

Methuselah Lagat represented Cameron in the 800 meter and placed eleventh with a 2:00.96. Lagat fared better in the 1500 meter and placed fourth behind three Tarleton State runners with a 3:58.15.

Loic Soria and
Thomas Toth also ran the 1500 meter race and placed fifteenth and sixteenth.   Soria would pace a time of 4:07.40 and beat Toth by just under two seconds (4:09.63).

Steve Orwell was CU's lone runner in the 5000 meter and he would miss the top ten by just fewer than four seconds with a time of 16:09.49 to place eleventh.

Cameron's next spring race will be on March 13 at Southwestern College.
