RICHARDSON, Texas – Cameron's Chris Somerfield has been named the Lone Star Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league's offices on Thursday afternoon.
Somerfield led the Aggies on the course this past week as the freshman finished in second place at The Oak Tree Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Christian at the Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, Okla.
The Queensland, Australia native fired rounds of 69, 69, and 68 for a total score of 206 (-4) as the Black-and-Gold finished third as a team. He registered nine birdies during the event.
CU returns to the course on March 20-21 as they participate in the King-Alfred Invitational in Tyler, Texas, hosted by UT Tyler at the Eagle Bluff Country Club.
