Saulo Yoel joined the Aggie cross country and track staff in the fall of 2023 after successful running careers at Highland Community College and Cameron University.
At Highland Community College, Yoel was a school record holder in the 800 meters and qualified for the NJCAA indoor national championships in the 800 meters and 1000 meters. He also won the Scottie Classic in the Mile and 1000 meters. He qualified for Cross Country Nationals twice and placed 48th in 2019. He was a teammate of Cameron Women's GA Coshan Williams at Highland from 2017-2019.
At Cameron, Yoel earned All-Lone Star Conference honors and led the team in the Fall of 2021 by placing 11th at the LSC Cross Country championships. On the track, he scored at several Lone Star Track & Field Championships including the Mile, DMR and 4x400 Relays. He is a former school record holder in the indoor 4x400 relay.
Yoel, a native of Houston, has a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Cameron and is pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration.
