Michael Dreisbach

Cameron University welcomed Michael Dreisbach as the Head Athletic Trainer in December 2024. Dreisbach oversees all athletic training responsibilities for the Aggies’ baseball and volleyball programs.

Before joining Cameron University, He spent nearly a decade serving as a civilian contracted athletic trainer in a military setting with the 434th Field Artillery Brigade, 1st Battalion, 40th Field Artillery, during Basic Combat Training. Additionally, he is working as a cutman for several professional combat sports organizations, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), Power Slap, Bare Knuckle Boxing, and the Invicta Fighting Championship.

Dreisbach earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Sports Performance from McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. While at McKendree, he gained experience working with volleyball, men’s basketball, wrestling, and football. His off-site clinical rotation was at a physical therapy and athletic training clinic near Southwestern Illinois College, and he also completed a strength and conditioning internship at Saint Louis University.

He currently holds CPR/AED certification and is pursuing additional training in suturing.

Dreisbach and his wife enjoy traveling and great food together.
