The 2015-16 season will be Tom Webb’s eighth season as head women’s basketball coach at Cameron University.

Coach Webb guided the Aggies to one of their most successful seasons in the NCAA era for Cameron with a National Tournament appearance during the 2014-15 season.  Webb finished with a 12-4 Lone Star Conference record which was a program high and was named as the leagues' coach of the year.  The Aggies also had an All-American (Jazzmine Robinson) and the LSC's newcomer of the year (Brandi Leal) as headlining postseason awards.

In the 2013-14 season the Aggies saw an eight win improvement in their overall record, three All-Conference selections, and led the LSC with 7.5 three-pointers per game.  The Aggies also broke program records for their best three-point percentage, and most three pointers in a season.

The 2011-12 season was a historic one for the Aggie women’s basketball team. Webb led them to a program record 11 Lone Star Conference wins, a 10 game winning streak, and the eventual LSC Conference Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, Sabelle Diata, and LSC Newcomer of the Year, Julie Paunovic, were under the coaching of Webb. He led the CU women’s basketball team to a 15-11 overall record and the Aggies first conference tournament berth since 2006.

Webb started as the head women’s basketball coach for the Northwest College (Powell, WY) Trappers. While at Northwest, he led the team to a 94-32 overall record and posted a school record for wins in back-to-back seasons. His record of 94-32 (75%) is the highest winning percentage in school history.

Webb also was named the Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference (WCCAC) Coach of the Year, and won two WCCAC Championships. His team’s 86 points per game average is still the highest season average in school history.

The Trappers also won the 2003 National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) academic championship with a team GPA of 3.56, the highest in the entire nation. As Northwest College’s head coach, Webb coached four All-Americans and twelve Academic All-Americans. He has also coached eight All-Region players and five All-Tournament players.

After Northwest, Webb was the associate head women’s basketball coach at Eastern Washington University starting in the 2004-2005 season. He started out as the assistant coach and was promoted to associate head coach. Eastern Washington University is an NCAA Division I institution, competing in the Big Sky Conference.

At EWU, Webb also served as the recruiting coordinator and oversaw the post players. Four of his post players attained All-Conference honors and one went on to play professional basketball in Europe.

Coach Webb also worked hard at keeping his players on track in the classroom. While at EWU, his team finished with the third-highest GPA (3.46) in the nation among Division I women’s basketball programs.

Webb attained his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southwest Minnesota State and completed his master’s degree in teaching and learning from Northern State. He currently lives in Lawton with his wife Gina, their son, and their three daughters.
