Emma 2019

Emma Andrews

Emma Andrews was named Cameron's Head Women's Basketball Coach on May 11, 2016 after two successful years as the top-assistant coach.

The Aggies made a major improvement under Andrews during the 2019-2020 season, almost doubling their record from the previous year and notching 12 Lone Star Conference wins, their most since the 2014-15 season. Cameron was one of the top three-point shooting teams in all of Division II, ranking first in the LSC and in the top-15 of the nation in three-point field goals attempted (816), made (271), and per game average (9.3), all three broke LSC records. She saw two players named All-Lone Star Conference in Maighan Hedge (first team) and Ava Battese (second team).

In 2020-21, Cameron expanded on their improvement by going 11-8, 10-6 in the LSC, in a shorter season due to the pandemic. Andrews' team used a trio of top-10 wins, including back-to-back against then ranked No. 5/No. 8 West Texas A&M at home. Those wins propelled CU into a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament as the sixth seed in the South Central Regional. The Aggies were knocked out of both the LSC Tournament and the National Tournament by the eventual National Champion and the No. 1 ranked Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps.

As an assistant coach, Cameron had an overall record of 30-23 and was instrumental in CU’s first NCAA National Tournament appearance since the 2001-02 season.  Additionally, she coached the Lone Star Conference Newcomer of the Year, WBCA All-American, and four All-LSC student-athletes.

Prior to Cameron, Andrews worked on the Fresno State bench from 2012-14 where they would capture back-to-back Mountain West Tournament Titles. She also played 86 games for the Bulldogs from 2007-11 under former Aggie women's basketball coach and Lawton native, Adrian Wiggins.

While at Fresno State, she would help the Bulldogs to a .730 winning percentage overall.

As a former Bulldog, Andrews helped lead the team to four-straight WAC titles and four NCAA appearances. Andrews scored a career-high 23 points at Loyola Marymount on Dec. 5, 2009. She earned Academic All-WAC honors in 2010, and was named to the WAC All-Tournament team as a freshman in 2008.

Andrews received her bachelor's degree in 2011 and master's degree in 2014 from Fresno State.
