Volleyball Struggles Sunday at Commerce

COMMERCE, Texas – Freshman Megan Olivarez had a match-high 17 kills Sunday afternoon at Texas A&M-Commerce, but the Cameron volleyball team couldn’t overcome 12 service errors in a four set Lone Star Conference loss (18-25, 28-30, 25-20, 17-25).

Freshman Jenna Risoli also helped pace the Aggie (7-16, 2-8) offense, as she had five kills and 33 assists. This was the second straight match the Frisco, Texas, native had over 30 assists and the fourth time this season.

Junior Adrienne Lawson and freshman Mariah Westlake, along with freshman Jenna Keeler helped anchor Cameron’s defense. Lawson and Westlake each had 12 digs, while Keeler had four assisted blocks.

Cameron will host the final four matches of the season beginning Thursday against Central Oklahoma at 7 p.m.
