EDMOND, Okla. – Central Oklahoma’s Dauntae Williams piled on 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the No. 15 Bronchos (16-2, 2-0) defeated the Cameron Aggies (10-7, 0-2) 93-63 in Lone Star Conference North Division play.
Sophomore forward Vinicius Telo led the Aggies with 17 points and six rebounds.
Telo drained a trey with 10:24 to go in the first half to knot the game up at 17-all. It was the final time in the game that the Aggies were able to keep it even. Carl Curry’s layup ignited a 28-9 run to send the Bronchos to the half up 45-28.
Central Oklahoma was also able to make the most of their fast break opportunities, converting at a 17-2 clip for the game while also picking up 39 points from their bench.
For the Aggies, it is their third-straight loss and second in divisional play. They will look to get things back on track with a mid-week trip to Ada, Okla., to take on the Tigers of East Central University in another LSC North Division show down.
Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
