STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Cameron Aggies men’s cross country team kicked off their 2011 Spring season on Thursday as they traveled to the Tarleton State Invitational in Stephenville.

With 21 teams competing, the meet ran well into the night as runners in the 5000m did not hit the course until well past 10 p.m.

In the fourth section of the 800m, Ben Rupert finished seventh after running a 2:10.73. In the 1500m, Marcus Trevino, running in the third section, came in at No. 11, posting a time of 5:04.55.

In the 5000m, Brian Mulwo and Moses Kipkosgei, both competing in the first section, ran 16:10.23 and 16:31.13, respectively, to come in at No. 16 and No. 19.

Next up for the Aggies is the OBU Bison Invitational held in Shawnee, Okla., on March 26.
