Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron men’s basketball team knocked down a season high 16 three-pointers and kept their season perfect at home defeating Angelo State, 92-72 in the Aggie Gym.
This was the second time this season the Aggies have surpassed the 90 point mark this season (last time 11/20 vs. Oklahoma Panhandle) and the was most three-pointers hit by a CU team since they hit a program high 19 on 2/28/09 against East Central.
A total of 10 different Aggie players contributed to the offensive outburst starting with the reigning Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Craig Foster who continued his strong play this season with 21 points, hitting six shots from downtown. Additionally, Foster led CU with eight assists.  Aaron Thompson added a Cameron career high 16 points, hitting four three-pointers.
Tim Johnson added nine points, four rebounds, and four assists while Trevor Smith, Jonathan Patino, and Kimric Dixon chipped in eight points.Â
Cameron (6-5, 2-3 LSC) rolled out shooting an amazing 60.7 percent from the field (17-for-28) in the first half. However, the highlight of the half was Tim Johnson's posterizing dunk at the four minute mark that will leave Aggie fans talking for the rest of the year.
The Aggies tied the game at the 18:10 mark in the first half and never looked back.Â
Shooting for the Ags in the second half improved, as they hit 66.7 percent (16-24) from the field off of nine shots from downtown.Â
Overall, the Aggies shot 63.5 percent from the field which was their best shooting night since 12/14/07 vs. Rhema Bible (65.3 percent).  Cameron additionally shot 57 percent from the arc (16-28).Â
The Aggies will return to action on 1/5 at 7:30 p.m. against Abilene Christian in Abilene, Texas.
