Tip Off

This will be the third matchup between the Aggies and the Rangers, with Cameron holding a two win lead over NWOSU. They played once back in 1980 and most recently in 2003.

Cameron is coming off a 73-61 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State last Saturday. Their 73 points is the most an Aggie women's basketball team has scored since Feb. 2, 2012 when Cameron scored 74 against Incarnate Word.

In the win, the Aggies got double digit scoring games from three of their four starters (Jazzmine Robinson-16, Lacy Reinke-14, and Brittany Harris-10), and a double digit rebound game from Christina Caddy, who also had seven points. Jade Herl added eight points and five rebounds to the effort in her first official game for the black and gold. They shot 38% from the field and out rebounded the opposing Aggies 45-35.

Scouting Northwestern OK State
The Rangers have started the season on a lesser than stellar three loss streak. They kicked off the season with a 42-69 loss to Colorado Mesa and followed that up with a closer 63-68 loss to Colorado Chrisitan. Most recently, they fell victim to a 55-94 loss to Fort Hays State.

As a team, NWOSU has shot average from the field, but their three point and free throw percentages are subpar. In two of their three contests they have been out rebounded, but they have done a good job of not turning the

ball over as much, only losing the turnover battle in one of their three games.

Sarah Parker is leading the Rangers with 8.7 points per game, while Kamera Bozeman occupies the second spot with 7.3 points per game. Both girls are shooting over .400 from the field, and Parker is 5-11 from behind the arc. Michaela Yu leads the team with an average of five rebounds a game, while also scoring 6.7 points per game. Yu also has the team lead of five steals, while Kayleigh Crowe leads the team with 2.3 assist per game.

Preseason Poll
The Cameron University women's basketball team was selected seventh with 75 points in the 2013-14 Lone Star Conference women's basketball preseason poll

Midwestern State was selected as the top choice to defend its LSC title earning 20 first place votes and 218 points.

West Texas A&M finished second with one first-place nod and 190 points to edge Tarleton State. The TexAnns were third with 188 points and three top votes.

Angelo State was picked fourth (127), Texas A&M-Commerce fifth (126 and one first-place vote), and Texas Woman's sixth (84). Cameron (75), Eastern New Mexico (69), and Texas A&M-Kingsville (48) rounded out the poll.

In addition, TSU's Kiara Wright was honored as Preseason Player of the Year. Wright was the top choice on 18 of the 25 ballots cast. MSU's Andrea Carter received four votes, while two others collected the remaining votes.

Put a Stamp on it
With 65 three pointers last season for the Aggies, Chelsea Stamp became Cameron's all-time leader in trey during a season. The previous record was 62 held by Michelle Brogden during the 1996-97 season.

Two with four
Both Lacy Reinke and Ali Brown are entering their fourth season with the Aggies and since 2010 they have played in all 80 possible games.

Sixth Man
The 2013-14 season will be Tom Webb's sixth year at the helm of the Cameron University women's basketball program. Webb is CU's second longest tenured coach in the NCAA era since Laina McDonald who led Cameron from 1989 to 1997.

Road Woes No More
Cameron hadn't won on an opposing or neutral court in their last 18 opportunities dating back to January 28, 2012 at Texas A&M Commerce. That all changed last Saturday night against Oklahoma Panhandle State, when the Aggies scored their most points since 2012 to get a 12-point victory on the road against the opposing Aggies.

Coming Up
The Aggie women will return home after the game with NWOSU; hosting Barclay College for their 2013-14 home opener on Nov. 19. Cameron will then be visited by Hillsdale Free Will Baptist on Nov. 25 before they head to Golden, Colorado to compete in the Colorado School of Mines Thanksgiving Classic, Nov. 29-30.
