First Tip: Cameron will be making their first trip to Springfield, MO since 2004 for a pair of games at Drury University; both games are out of region contests for the Aggies.
The Aggies have started the season with back-forth-forth wins and losses. On Friday, the Aggies lost to Texas A&M International 90-71; this was the first time since Jan. 28, 2009 that a CU team allowed 90 or more points. Despite the defensive lapse against TAMIU, Cameron held UT-Permian Basin a team that was averaging over 90 points per game to only 65 in the Aggies win the next day.
Cameron is +4.4 in scoring margin and +1.8 in the rebounding battle so far this season.
About Truman State: This will be Truman's first matchup with Cameron in program history. The Bulldogs have played in three exhibitions and have a pair of regular season wins at home against Lincoln Christian (92-52) and Central Christian (86-47). In their first two exhibitions, Truman lost to Southern Mississippi (89-69) and Middle Tennessee State (78-66). Prior to their meeting with the Aggies, Truman played an exhibition against Indiana State and lost, 80-69.
Truman State finished their 2012-13 season with a 10-16 overall record and a 7-11 conference record. The Bulldogs are in their first season with the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) after departing the MIAA following last season.
In their first GLVC preseason poll the Bulldogs were selected to finish fifth in the East Division.
About Drury University: Drury is the defending NCAA Division II National Champions and was selected to win the GLVC East Division; they have also won their past 26 games in a row as well. Cameron has played the Panthers five times with DU having a 2-3 edge. The Aggies won their last meeting on Nov. 27, 2004 in Springfield, MO (71-58), the Panthers last win against CU was on Feb. 26, 1996 in overtime (72-66) at the Aggie Gym.
The Panthers are 3-0, beating Webster, Southwest Baptist, and Southwestern College. In their lone exhibition game, Drury opened the season against Duke University and took a lead into halftime before falling 81-65 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Coming Up: Cameron will remain on the road following their trip to Drury and play a pair of exhibitions at Oral Roberts (Dec. 3) and Missouri State (Dec. 4).
