Bulldogs sink Aggies in the second half

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A strong second half by Truman State proved to be too much for Cameron as they would fall 87-67 at the O'Reilly Event Center in Springfield, Mo.

Truman State (3-0) had four players in double-figures with Mike Carlson lighting up Cameron (3-3) with 32 points to hand the Aggies their third loss of the season.

The Bulldogs came out with a full head of steam leading by nine points in early part of the first half. Following a called timeout by Cameron to regroup, the Aggies went on a 12-0 run by the nine minute mark to take a slight lead over Truman. Neither team would take control of the half from that forward trading buckets with Truman taking a slight lead at the half, 37-36.

Craig Foster and Kimric Dixon made up for over half of CU's offense early with Foster getting 10 points and five dishes; Dixon tossed up nine, all of which came from the arc.

In the second half, Cameron played from behind and never could recover as Truman State shot the ball well over 50% and scored 50 points to pull away from CU.

Foster led the Aggies with 18 points, with seven assists, and three steals; Will Cook came up with 16 points and eight boards.

Cameron's offense was slowed in the second half and put up 18 shots from the field. Overall, the Aggies shot the ball at 44.4% from the field and pulled down 33 rebounds.

The Aggies will return to action on Saturday to play number-4 ranked Drury State at 3:15 pm.
