Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Cameron University men took UT-San Antonio to the brink before falling 64-56 in the final minutes at the Convocation Center in San Antonio on Tuesday afternoon in exhibition play.
Tank Mayberry who returned to the floor at UTSA came away with a double-double and led CU with 28 minutes played. Â Mayberry recorded 11 points, 10 boards against the Roadrunners who he played for last season for 13 games before joining Cameron; he also had a four blocks on UTSA shooters.
Cameron led the NCAA Division I Roadrunners for a good part of the game taking a slim 29-27 lead at the half and was in front with four minutes remaining.
The Aggies used 12 players and shot over 40% from the field while UTSA struggled throughout the game shooting at 29.8%.
Charles Joy was the only other Aggie in double digits with 10 points, and
Will Cook added nine respectively.
Cameron will return to action on Sunday, hosting South Dakota School of Mines at 2 pm.
