Aggie women end season with 66-48 loss to Texas Woman’s

DENTON, Texas – Cameron ended their season with a 66-48 loss to Texas Woman's on Saturday afternoon at Kitty Magee Arena.

Sharna Hoosier ended her four-year Aggie career on a high note earning her first career double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 points. Hannah Pollart led CU scorers with 11 points, while Ali Brown chipped in eight.

Texas Woman's (7-19, 5-15 LSC) got double digit scoring efforts from three players. Ria Pateraki led the Pioneers with 14 points, while Rebekah Cluley and Machel Schlosser added 12 points each.

In the first half Cameron was flat going 5-23 (22 percent) from the field while allowing Texas Woman's to shoot 13-30 (43 percent). A 6-0 run midway through the half and 5-0 run to end first 20 minutes added to the CU deficit trailing 33-15.

Ellie Carter led Aggie scorers with five points, while Hannah Pollart and Ali Brown added four points each.

In the second half the Aggies found their stoke matching TWU with 33 points but damage was already done falling, 66-48.

The Aggies shot 25.9 percent as a team compared to 45.8 percent shooting from the Pioneers. Neither team could get anything done from the arc with both teams getting four treys. In the battle of the boards, TWU edged CU 40-38.

Cameron finishes the season with a 5-21 overall record and a 4-16 Lone Star Conference record, ending the year in tenth place.
