Cameron records fall at Bobby Lane Invitational

ARLINGTON, Texas – Several Aggies had impressive days breaking personal and school records at the Bobby Lane Invitational at the University of Texas – Arlington on Saturday.

Janis Pastars broke the school record in the 1500 meter run, finishing in second place overall with a 3:59.01. He also broke a program record in the 800 meter run, placing eleventh with a time of 1:56.07. Both times were personal bests for Pastars.

Several Aggie runners had personal best times at the invite. In the 5000 meter run Cody Campbell placed sixth with a time of 15:17.26 and Grant Wignall finished in twelfth with a 15:30.34.

Steve Orwell placed 33rd in the 5000 meter with a time of 16:18, and Cole Atchinson finished in 39th with a 16:37.78. Tyler Jacobs in the 800 meter placed 42nd in 2:05.23 and 38th in the 1500 meter with a time of 4:23.82.

Thomas Toth ran unattached in the 5000 meter placing third with a personal best time of 15:09.20. Antonio Moreno also ran unattached placing 28th in the 800 meter with a time of 2:01.33 and 24th in the 1500 meter race in 4:13.95, both were personal bests.

Cameron will race next in the Oklahoma Baptist Open in Shawnee on March 30.
