SHAWNEE, Okla. – Janis Pastors continues to have a strong spring season breaking the Aggie record in the 1500 meter race at the OBU Open on Saturday.

Pastors broke his own record that was set a week ago at the Bobby Lane Invite with a time of 3:57.75, just under a second better than his previous mark.

Cody Campbell also competed in the 1500 meter race finishing with personal best time of 4:13.71. Tyler Jacobs finished behind Campbell with a time of 4:15.56.

In the 800 meter run, Pastors placed seventh with a time of 1:57.89 and Jacobs finished in 25th, clocking in at 2:09.45.

Campbell led the Ags in the 5000 meter, placing ninth with a time of 16:22, Steve Orwell was twelfth (16:27), Grant Wignall finished in fourteenth (16:34), and Cole Atchinson was 24th (18:41).

Running unattached, Antonio Moreno had a personal best time of 4:13.71, finishing in fourteenth in the 1500 meter. Moreno also raced in the 800 meter, finishing in sixteenth (2:02). Thomas Toth placed fourth in the 5000 meter with a time of 15:37.

The Aggie runners will conclude their spring season on April 17-18 at the Kansas University Relays in Lawrence.
