Looking back: Cameron is coming off of a win against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday that earned them the seventh seed in the upcoming Lone Star Conference Tournament that starts later this week. CU overcame a 2-0 deficit, winning set three 27-25, set four 25-21, and then came back from a 11-6 Javelina lead to win set five 16-14.
Kat Evans recorded a career high 26 kills on the night and also recorded 13 digs to earn one of CU's three double-doubles.
Kendra Adams added to the offensive attack with 18 kills, while
Cristina Viera was one of CU's other double-doubles with 14 kills and 19 digs.
Kayla Hebert was the third player from Cameron with a double-double, recording 47 assists and 18 digs in the match.
Looking forward: The Bulldogs will come to Lawton having already lost to the Aggies this season, Cameron went to Weatherford just two weeks ago and got the 3-1 victory. In the win, Adams had 16 kills for the Aggies, while Evans had 14 kills, and
Rebecca Green had 10.
Ingrid Boatman had 41 assists while adding 16 digs to give her a double-double. SWOSU is entering this final match of the season on a five game losing streak with three of those coming against LSC opponents.
Nearing 1,000: Kat Evans needs only 11 kills to be the ninth Aggie in program history to hit 1,000 kills.
Honoring Vets: The Aggies will be honoring Veterans and handing out American Flags to fans at the gates, and are encouraged to hold them up during the National Anthem. Additionally, between sets two and three fans can participate in God Bless American by raising flags up in the air, and honoring all past and present service members.
On the horizon: The Aggies are gearing up for their first Lone Star Conference Championship berth since 2011. They will open the tournament with a first round match against Texas Woman's on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 2:30 p.m. in Canyon, Texas.
