Cameron at the conference tournament: Â The Aggies will look to be the spoiler this year at the LSC Championships in Allen, Texas. Â Last season as the number two seed Cameron was upset by seven seeded West Texas A&M 65-50 in the quarterfinal. Â Since 1990, Cameron is 3-10 with their last win coming in 2012 against Incarnate Word. Â The Aggies have yet to make in the tournament finals in program history. Â
This is Cameron's third straight postseason appearance and fifth since 2009. Â The Aggies have faced every league school in the tournament field except for Tarleton State and Texas A&M Kingsville. Â Cameron has played West Texas A&M the most (4 times) and twice against Texas A&M Commerce and Midwestern State. Â Overall the Aggies are 1-2 inside the Allen Event Center.
Last time out for the Aggies: On senior night the Aggies came up just a bit short on Saturday night in a 74-71 loss to Midwestern State. Â
Cameron had the ball with two seconds remaining but a
Will Cook three-point attempt in front of the CU bench would miss off of the back iron at the buzzer. Â
Craig Foster scored 1/3 of the Aggies points with 25 with 66% shooting on the floor and five shots from beyond the arc. Â The Aggies did out-rebound the Mustangs 31 to 27 but in shooting MSU led 52% to Cameron 40%. Â
The loss was Cameron's second in a row and they have dropped nine out of their last eleven contests heading into the LSC Tournament.Â
