OKLAHOMA CITY – Cameron offense clicked on all cylinders with 53 second half points as the Aggies blew past Oklahoma Christian 83-67 in the Heartland-Lone Star Conference Challenge on Saturday night. The win eased the pain from coughing up a 17 point lead on the night prior to Newman in a losing effort.Â
The Aggies (1-1) shot a blistering 63.3% (19-30) with five made shots from beyond the arc in the second half.Â
Cameron Lee couldn't miss and shot 19 of his 25 career high points in the second period with
JV Long and
Deondre Ray both having 11 the outburst.Â
"Our guys are pretty unselfish out on the floor," said head coach
Nate Gamet. "They were pulling for Cam because they know that the next night could be their night on the floor. I think we have several guys who can go off and score a bunch for us on any given night."
Cameron couldn't get much the stick in the first half and went 38.2% (13-34) from the field and they missed all eight three-point attempts. Oklahoma Christian (0-2) would lead by eight with under a minute left before half but it would be a 34 -30 Eagle lead into the locker room.
"We simply just weren't making shots in the first half but we were really good on the defensive side throughout the night and we forced a lot of outside shots," Gamet said. Â
Jamaal Brantley ended the game with 18 points and had a team high eight rebounds, Ray came up with 16 and
JV Long had 13 points.Â

"The gym were playing at is on the highest elevation in country and it's been a while since we've been out to Colorado to play teams out there," said Gamet. "We'll get out there a day early but the key for us to the be hydrated."
