The Aggies out-rebounded the #2 ranked Lady Buffs 40-to-36 with senior Markita Zeigler pulling down a season high eight rebounds. Cameron used the rebound advantage to score 12 second chance points. Turnovers plagued the Aggies on Thursday afternoon with 23 committed, West Texas A&M would place 23 of their 69 points off of CU misscues.

West Texas A&M shot 23-for-53 (42.6%) from the field and Cameron was 19-for-59 (32.2%) on their side of the court.

WT's Maddison Wild led both teams with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Cameron stayed within reach of West Texas A&M after a cold shooting first quarter and trailed 13-9.  However, seven turnovers plagued CU in the first half of the second period and West Texas A&M would take a double-digit advantage into the intermission 32-22.  In the first half, the Aggies went 8-for-26 from the field with Montgomery leading the team with six points. Both teams struggled from long range with each side hitting a pair of three-pointers.

Out of the locker room, the Aggies came out as a new team and opened with eight answered points to make it a one possession, 32-30 game. Cameron stayed on WT's heels until the opening minute of the fourth quarter where Threatt sank a trey to take a 46-45 advantage over the Lady Buffs. Despite CU's advances, WT pulled back ahead and stretched the lead back up to ten points thanks to a three minute Aggie scoring drought along with eight answered points. Cameron could never recover and closed the game shooting 2-for-9 from the field.

The loss for the Aggies snapped a two game winning streak and drops them to 6-4 overall and 0-1 in LSC play; West Texas A&M remains undefeated at 11-0 and 1-0 in the LSC.

The Aggies will have a day off before facing Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas on Saturday at 5 p.m.
