Men's Basketball Preview: Eastern New Mexico

The Starting Five
1.    On BennettRank.com the Aggies have played the toughest schedule in the nation at the NCAA Division II level; six of their last seven outings have come against nationally ranked programs.
2.    Aggie senior Desmond Henry has scored in 23 straight contests and is the only player to start in all 21 games this season.   On Jan. 31 against Midwestern State, he had a career high 10 assists and added 12 points for his second double-double of the season.
3.    CU has the second best field goal percentage in the LSC (49.6%)
4.    Cameron Lee is leading the conference with a 47.5 percent success rate at the arc, and he is netting just over a pair of three-pointers a game.
5.    On the road this season, CU 3-6 overall and has dropped their last four in a row.

Eastern New Mexico (7-15, 0-9 LSC): Feb. 11 at 8:30 p.m. | Live Stats | Game Notes

First Tip: The Aggies have dropped seven of their last eight contests, one of Cameron's LSC wins this season has come against the Greyhounds in a 98-71 rout to open league play in Lawton.  The scoring outburst by CU was their highest in a LSC contest since Jan. 5, 2008 at Abilene Christian matching Cameron's total that night.   However, finding success at ENMU has proven to be a challenge for the Aggies with one win in Greyhound Arena since 2010, which was a one point 59-58 victory to open league play last season.  The overall series is tied at 20-20 but at Eastern New Mexico, Cameron is 5-10.

For the first time this season the Cameron men's basketball team fell below .500 after an 87-73 loss to number-12 Tarleton State on Saturday night.  Jamaal Brantley paced CU in scoring with 19, his best offensive night since Dec. 20 this season against Dallas Christian (25 points); he would nearly account for one-third of CU's boards with a team high seven.  Both Desmond Henry and KeDorian Sullivan had 15 points.    Cameron shot 52.3 percent from the field but had a season matching low with 22 rebounds, the Texans shot slightly better at 53.5 percent and seven more boards.

About Eastern New Mexico: The Greyhounds will enter their contest with the Aggies losers of their last nine (all LSC contests) with their last win coming on Jan. 2 against South Dakota School of Mines.  On Saturday, Angelo State held the Greyhounds to 49 points and 35 percent shooting; John Gilliam was the only ENMU player in double figures with 14 points against ASU.    As a program, Eastern New Mexico is scoring over 73 points a game but allowing over 88 points and 50 percent shooting to opposing teams. Gilliam paces ENMU with 16.5 points a game, with Chris Wyms and Lawrence Domingo adding just over 12 each.    Gilliam is the Greyhounds leading rebounder with 5.6 a game and they grab just over 35 a game, about six less than their opponents this season.

Coming Up: Cameron will host West Texas A&M on Saturday at 4 p.m. for their second to last home contest this season
