CANYON -Â
Kelsey Watson struck out 11 West Texas A&M batters in four innings of relief to guide Cameron a 3-2 win over the Lady Buffs on late Saturday night. Â
With the win the Aggies knocked out the 2014 National Champions and will faceoff with Tarleton State in the regional final at 1:30 p.m.  The road for CU will still be a challenge though, they will need to take two against the TexAnns in order to continue their season and advance to the super regional.Â
"West Texas A&M is a great team and a great program, I really respect their kids, and their coaches," said head coach
Rodney DeLong.  "Anytime you win here its big time, and the kids did a good job in that second game matching the energy."
"Kelsey really threw well tonight, the ball was moving, she got us out of some tough situations. I was really proud of that girl."
Cameron stuck first in the second inning after
Jessie Ingrum beat out an infield single to score
Lauren Renneker and
Paige Daino.   In the next frame, two CU errors allowed for a WT run to cross home and in the fourth they worked the bases loaded on starter
Sonora Zukerman. Watson came in out of the bullpen and needed 14 pitched to strike out the next three batters.Â
During the bottom half of the fourth,
Macy McKay got caught in a pickle between first and second with
Chelsea DeLong at third with two outs.  DeLong would score before the tag was placed on McKay for an insurance run to put the Aggies up 3-1.
Watson tossed scoreless two innings before WT opened the seventh in a single.   Following a strikeout, a walk put two on, before the Lady Buffs caught the Aggies by surprise with a bunt single, and the runner at second scored.  WT would have runners on second and third with one out but Watson tossed two more punch outs to get CU the win.
Cameron and West Texas A&M were limited to five hits, Zukerman (13-6) got the win with an unearned run given up, and Watson tossed her fourth save of the season.Â
The Aggies will climb to 41-17 overall and number-3 West Texas A&M will see their season end at 45-11.
