First Tip:
- The Aggies notched their first conference win of the season last time out, defeating Texas A&M-Kingsville 97-63 in a game in which CU had five players score in double digits.
- Cameron has now scored 80-plus points in five of their nine contests.
- Angelo State will be their first ranked opponent for the Aggies this season, coming in ranked no. 4 in the D2SIDA Media Poll and no. 7 in the WBCA Poll.
- CU is 16th in the nation and second in the LSC in scoring offense with 80.7 points per game, while coming in at no. 13 in the nation with nine three pointers made per contest.
- Cameron leads the LSC and is 20th in the nation in three point defense, holding their opponents to shooting just 25.4 percent from the perimeter, while coming in with the league's top steal numbers at 11.1 per game, which is 33rd best in the country.
- Savanna James is averaging 15 points per contest, and is top-10 in the nation and no. 1 in the LSC in field goal percentage, shooting 58.7 percent, while also grabbing 7.8 rebounds per contest.
- Natalie Halbleib has been hot recently, scoring 18 or more points in each of the last three contests. She came just one rebound shy of recording four straight double-doubles, and since entering LSC play, she is averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 47.8 percent from three point range.
 
About Angelo State:
- The Rambelles are a perfect 9-0 after defeating Western Washington and Northwest Nazarene at the Holiday Hoops Classic back on Dec. 17-19.
- ASU is already 3-0 in conference play, having beaten Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Woman's, and Midwestern State.
- Angelo State is 12th in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 81.8 points per contest, while outscoring their opponents by an average margin of 20.7.
- The Rambelles lead the LSC in multiple statistical categories, including assists per game, assists/turnover ratio, fewest turnovers, rebounding margin, etc.
- Senior Taylor Dorsey leads the conference and is 16th in the nation with 20.2 points per game, while shooting 53.2 percent from the field, handing out 4.4 assists, and getting 2.8 steals per contest.
- LSC Preseason Player of the Year, Jasmine Prophet leads the LSC with 1.5 blocks per game, while leading the Rambelles is rebounding with 6.6 boards per game. She also averages 11.4 points per game on 58.7 percent shooting from the field.

LSC Player of the Week:
- Savanna James earned Lone Star Conference Player of the Week honors a few weeks ago for her stellar outing against Texas A&M-Kingsville. James led CU with 26 points and eight rebounds, while also chipping in two blocks and a steal. She shot 10-14 from the field, went 2-2 from behind the three point line, and 4-4 from the charity stripe. James has scored 10 or more points in all but one of the Aggies nine contests and has scored 20 or more points in two games. She is currently in fifth in the LSC with 15 points per game, third with 7.8 rebounds, and leads the league shooting 58.7 percent from the field.
