CU men make the long trek to battle the Greyhounds and Falcons

Game Notes

First Tip: 
- The Aggies will now have to make the long trip west as they visit Eastern New Mexico on Thursday and then Western New Mexico on Saturday. 
- CU is coming off a split week, and is now 10-6 overall this season and 3-3 in LSC play. 
- In their win over UTPB, Cameron had five players score in double figures and forced 23 turnovers in the 81-76 victory; Delvonte Pierre led the way with 14 points. 
- The Aggies' loss last week came in a four overtime thriller against No. 11 West Texas A&M. The game was extended by two clutch three point buzzer beaters by Tyus Momoh, but a last second miss by Pierre gave WT the 100-98 win; Pierre finished with an 18 point, 10 rebound double-double, while Momoh had 19 points, JV Long had 18, and Stacey Lambert recorded his first CU double-double with 10 points and 18 boards. 
- The Aggies like to play at their pace during the game, scoring just 76.4 points per game, but allowing the opposition to score just 72 points against them. 
- CU is also one of the top teams in the nation when it comes to ball handing, ranking 21st in least amount of turnovers and 47th in assist/turnover ratio. 
- Three Aggies are averaging 10 or more points per contest, with Tyler Williams leading the team with 12.7, Momoh right behind him with 12.6, and Long averaging 10.4 points per game; additionally, Trey Hall and Pierre average 9.6 and 9.4 points respectively. 

About Eastern New Mexico: 
- The Greyhounds are 7-8 overall this season and 1-4 in conference play, after defeating Western New Mexico last week 78-71. 
- ENMU likes to attack the basket and get the the foul line, as they have the fourth most free throw attempts in the nation, but they are only converting them at a 61 percent clip. 
- Eastern is sixth in the nation in offensive rebounds per game, 14th in total rebounds, 24th in steals, and 10 in turnovers forced. 
- The Greyhounds average 76.5 points per game, but are giving up 78.4 to their opponents. 
- Marquise Harris leads the team with 15 points per game, while CoRnell Neal averages 14.9 and Joe Clarke averages 10.7 points.
- Big man Chris Lewis leads the team and is fifth in the LSC with 8.1 rebounds per contest, while Neal leads ENMU with 4.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game. 

The Series vs. ENMU:
- CU leads 23-20
- Cameron has won seven out of the last 10 meetings, dating back to 2012. 
- Last Meeting: February 11, 2016 in Lawton, Okla. (72-66 CU win)

About Western New Mexico: 
- Western is 2-11 overall this season and has yet to win an LSC game, going 0-5 so far. 
- The Mustangs are at the bottom of the back in the conference in scoring margin, averaging just 64.9 points per contest, while giving up 79.9 to their opponents. 
- WNMU shoots a league worst 36.5 percent from the field, 27.1 percent from the perimeter, and 58.5 from the foul line. 
- The coach's (Matt Enriquez) younger brother, Jordan, leads the team with 13.3 points per contest, while Willie McCray averages 10.4 points and leads the team in assists and steals. 
- Forward Latrell Spivey averages a double-double with 10 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest, while making his shots at a 56.6 percent clip. 

The Series vs. WNMU:
- CU leads 4-3
- The Aggies have not faced the Mustangs in over 12 years. 
- Last Meeting: December 28, 2004 (77-74 WNMU win)

Cameron will be back on the court on Tuesday, Jan. 17 as they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas to face their rival Midwestern State at 7:30 p.m.
