LAWTON, Okla. – Despite opening the game with an explosive start, the Cameron women suffered a setback in the second half to fall 103-90 to Texas Woman's on Thursday evening on senior night.

Leading the Aggies was
Savanna James 23 points and 7 rebounds,
Ava Battese 17 points, Hill with 13 points, Soriano 12 points and three steals and Montgomery with nine assists.
The Aggies set the pace early, breaking for a 20 point lead (33-13) by the end of the first quarter. Soriano and James combined for 18 of those points in a period where CU made five three-pointers and limited the Pioneers to just 4 buckets and a 5-for-6 outing at the line.
Cameron also forced eight early TWU turnovers, four of those steals which they cashed in 11 points.
The second quarter saw TWU improve from 36 percent to 50 percent shooting from the field yet the Aggies maintained a double digit lead for their largest of the half of 23 points at the halftime buzzer, 60-37 after shooting 58 percent from the field with eight buckets from downtown.
However, the Pioneers came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, breaking for a 20 point run to bring themselves within two points of the Aggies who would later give up a 25 point lead.
The first ten points of the chain were started by the Lone Star Conference's leading scorer Kenesha Saygo who would score 19 points in the third quarter, helping TWU outscore the Aggies 34-11 in the period where CU shot a mere 20 percent on the floor.
The Pioneers tied the game 71-71 at the close of the third period and got their first lead of game on the opening play of the fourth. Both teams kept within each other battling through six ties until TWU went on another run, this time of 15 points down to three minutes remaining.
The Aggies could not overcome the deficit as they would fall 103-90 to end the regular season at 11-15 and 9-11 in the league while TWU is now 17-10 and 10-9 in the conference.
