The game was locked in a 6-6 tie from the seventh inning until the tenth when TAMUC broke the tie with a two run single. The Aggies couldn't capitalize in the bottom of the tenth with bases loaded and one out, as two pop outs were the deciding factor in the loss.

Osterdock nearly hit her second homer of the day in the sixth inning but was robbed by the center fielder; however, B. Busby would get her second long ball of the game, bringing in three to tie the game at six runs apiece.
In the top of the seventh, the Aggies made a pitching change, bringing in
Rylee Willmon who inherited runners on corners with two outs. She walked the bases loaded but a fly out got CU out of a jam.
The game entered extra innings with neither team scoring until the top of the tenth when TAMUC's Jameyson hit a two RBI single putting the Lions up 8-6.
The Aggies had a chance in the bottom of the frame as the bases loaded on walks with just one out, but the Lions forced two popouts for the win awarded to pitcher Katie Dean (5-1) and the save going to Emily Otto.
Willmon (6-3) was charged with the loss after pitching 3.1 innings, allowing three hits and two runs. Starter Hines pitched 6.2 innings, allowed eight hits and five runs while striking out five.
