LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron Athletics Department inducted a new class of former Aggies into their Hall of Fame on Friday night, including a trio of recent graduates and a pair of football players.

Friday night in the Cameron University Theatre, current and former Aggie student-athletes and staff joined to celebrate the induction of the 2019 class into the Cameron Athletics Hall of Fame. The class includes Willie Adams (Football), Milton Garner (Men's Basketball), Eck Hunter (Football), Julius Korir (Men's Cross Country), and Peter Svajlen (Men's Golf).

Two of the five inductees attended, Adams and Garner; Hunter is deceased, while Svajlen and Korir are both out of the country. The pair along with family and Cameron administration enjoyed a dinner at the Cameron House with President John McArthur prior to the ceremony.

During the ceremony both Adams and Garner joined Cameron vice president Albert Johnson, Jr. for a Q and A in front of Aggie fans and supporters. Former men's golf head coach
Jerry Hrnciar also joined Johnson, representing his former player Svajlen.

The five inductees will be honored once again during halftime of the women's basketball game on Saturday.

Meet the class of 2019:
Willie Adams | Football (1962)
Adams was a two-way player on both the offensive and defensive line during the 1962 football season. Coached by Cameron Hall of Fame coaches Leroy Montgomery and Charlie Dean, the big man was named an All-American for his strong play with the Aggies. Adams was part of the "Dirty Thirty" team that went 7-2. He went on to play three seasons at New Mexico State before being drafted in the 11th round by the Washington Redskins in the 1965 NFL Draft. He played two season for the skins and then two more with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.

Milton Garner | Basketball (2009-12)
In 2012, Garner was named an All-American and the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year after a season where he averaged 18.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and totaled 35 steals and 46 assists. He helped lead his team to semifinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament in his final year on campus. Garner finished his career with 1,264 points over 80 games and was selected to the NCAA Division II All-Star Game after his senior campaign. He then signed a professional contract to play in Brazil and was selected to an all-star team in 2015 that played a series of exhibitions against players from the Chinese Basketball Association; he was joined by former coach Nate Gamet and former teammate
Craig Foster.

Eck Hunter | Football (1942, 1946)
Hunter played three games for the Aggies in 1942 before joining the Navy. He then returned in 1946 and helped Cameron go 10-1 with a 26-13 win in the Papoose Bowl. That team went 6-0 to become the Oklahoma Junior College Conference Champions and outscored their opponents 271-78. Hunter was named all-conference in 1946 and was one of four running backs to be named to the Cameron All-Star Team through 1949.

Julius Korir | Men's Cross Country (2009-12)
Korir, a native of Eldoret, Kenya, was named an All-American in 2009 after finishing 23rd in the NCAA National Meet. He also was named an Academic All-American in 2011, despite running not competing until the Lone Star Conference Meet. Korir earned All-LSC honors twice, placing third in the 2009 meet and fourth in the 2010 race.

Peter Svajlen | Men's Golf (2006-10)
Svajlen, who came to Cameron from Bratislava, Slovakia, was named an All-American and an Academic All-American in both 2008 and 2010. He was a three time Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year in 2007, 2008, and 2010. Svajlen served as a pro at the BlackSeaRoma Golf and Vilas in Bulgaria and is affiliated with the Best Swing Golf Academy. He has also competed in many professional tournaments and still does as of his induction.
