LAWTON, Okla. – After opening the three-game series against Angelo State with a pair of wins on Friday, the Aggie softball team fell 5-4 in the final despite hitting three homers in the contest.

The Rambelles jumped out to an early 4-0 lead with a single run in the first inning and three more in the second.

In the bottom half of inning two,
Callie Busby got the Aggies on the board with a solo shot to left field. An
Alyssa Osterdock sac-fly later in the inning plated
Raley Long to pull the Aggies within two runs of the Rambelles.

Khmari Edwards continued her hot freshman campaign with her ninth homer of the season in the third, pulling CU to within one run.

CU fell back down by two after a Megan Gordon double put the Belles' fifth run of the game on the board in the fourth.

An inning later,
Breley Webb pulled the Aggies back to within a run with a solo home run of her own.

Cameron, who totaled eight hits in the game, was unable to complete the comeback with scoreless sixth and seven innings, allowing ASU to take the final game of the weekend. CU left seven runners on base, while Angelo State, who tallied five hits, only left one runner on.

C. Busby led the Aggies with a 3-4 day, scoring a run and driving one in on the solo homer. The other five hits came from five different CU batters.

Rylee Willmon suffered her fourth loss of the season, giving up three earned runs on five hits and two walks. She struck out three batters, while
Bethany Hines also struck out three in her two perfect innings in the circle.

Cameron is now 26-12 overall this season and 13-8 in Lone Star Conference play. They will be on the road next week, April 12-13, for a three-game series at Texas Woman's. Â
