Box Score  |  Play-By-Play

The Black and Gold hit .219 with 10 kills, three service aces, and three total blocks in the opening frame. They ended the match with 12.0 total blocks and six aces, while hitting .158 as a team.

Arianna Navarrete was the only Aggie with over 10 kills in the match, as the freshman recorded 10 kills with just two errors, while Walia Franklin was one short of reaching double-digits with nine. Katherine Manning tallied 21 of CU's 39 assists and libero Peyton Little led the squad with 16 digs. Riana Blount led the charge at the net, totaling six blocks, while Navarrete added five to give her a team-high 14.5 points in the four-set match.

In set one, the two teams battled back and forth throughout. After TWU tied the frame at 19-all with on a Courtney Noel kill, the Black and Gold responded with three straight points capped by a pair of service aces by Desiree Marmolejo to give them a 22-19 advantage. A 3-2 swing for the Aggie thanks to kills from Shantalle Demirjian and Sarah Wright secured the 25-21 win.

Much like the first, the second set was back and forth until Cameron took a small 22-17 lead thanks to a pair of TWU errors. This time, the Pioneers were able to orchestrate a 5-0 run to tie the frame at 22. After CU reached set-point thanks to kills from Caitlyn Henderson and Franklin, Texas Woman's scored four straight to steal the set, 26-24.

Out of the break, TWU took a slight lead, using a pair of 3-0 runs to start the third to take a 15-10 advantage. CU scored four straight to get back to within one, but the Pioneers were able to hold them off and take the set 25-19.

In the fourth, the Black and Gold opened up the frame with a 10-6 advantage, but that was erased quickly as TWU went on a 7-0 run to go on top 13-10. CU was able to get back to within one at 18-17, but never regained the lead, falling in the final set 25-20.

Cameron moves to 4-6 on the season and 1-1 in both Lone Star Conference and divisional play. They will return to the Aggie Gym on Tuesday, Sep. 24, to play host to UAFS for a match scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
