FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Jake Cousineau led Cameron men's cross country team at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas at Agra Park on Friday, turning in a top 25 finish.
Cousineau placed 21st with a time of 26 minutes and 15. 3 seconds. Joining him in the top 100 were Edward Kipruto and AJ Espino, placing 82nd and 83rd. Kipruto clocked a finish of 27:34.6, and Espino finished at the 27:35.1 mark.
Marcos Herrera finished in 115th place with a time of 28:15.7.
Allen Vasquez had a time of 28:57.1 to place 145th.
Daniel Parra placed 185th crossing the finish line with a time of 30:04.1.
The Black-and-Gold finished in 18th place out of 38 teams. There were 349 total runners at the meet Friday morning.
Drury would take the crown of the Men's 8k Open with 81 points, Rogers State placed second with 127 points, and Oklahoma Baptist was third with 133 points.
Texas A&M Texarkana's Vincent Nchogu won the 8k race with a time of 24:53.3.
