CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. – Hamish Murray leads Cameron men's golf after shooting a 67 in the second round of the Citrus Intercollegiate at the Championsgate Golf Club.
Murray had a two-round total of 72-67—139, which has him currently tied for seventh place heading into the final round on Tuesday. The Aggies sit in 11th place after the first day, recording a 291-284—575.
Preston Holmes is tied for 29th after two rounds with a card of 72-71—143.
Trevor Mierl shot a 75-72—147 and is tied for 55th place with Chris Somerfield, who recorded a 73-74—147.
Joey Kirk shot a 74-74—148 and sits tied for 61st after two rounds.
CU made 30 birdies and sunk one eagle on an opening day. Murray led the Aggies with nine birdies, Holmes connected on seven, Kirk and Somerfield made five, Mierl had four, and the lone eagle.
Barry holds an eight-stroke lead after shooting (-17) in the second round and recorded a two-round score of 280-271—551. Amani D'Ambrosio of Barry and Adam Alvarez of Florida Southern lead the field after shooting a 134.
The Black-and-Golf will tee off for the final round at 8:30 am tomorrow. Holmes and Murray will start on the 11th tee, Mierl on the 12th, Somerfield on the 13th hole, and Kirk on the 14th hole.
