LAWTON – After a slow start to their game against No. 13/15 Lubbock Christian on Saturday, Cameron was unable to get their offensive going, falling 75-49 at the Aggie Gym.

The Aggies knew they had a tough test this week with three games against tough Lone Star Conference opponents including top-10 ranked Texas A&M-Commerce and the Lady Chaps.Â

After having a hard time with the Lions on Tuesday, CU snuck out a one-point over Eastern New Mexico on Thursday. Their three-game homestand was spoiled by the defending National Champion on Saturday, holding them to under 50 points for the first time this season.Â

Lubbock Christian started the game by locking down the Aggies to just one field goal in the opening quarter, going up 23-7. Cameron bounced back with a solid second quarter, but still trailed by 11 34-23 at the halftime break.Â

The Lady Chaps dominated the second half, out-scoring CU 41-26 while shooting 50 percent from the field and holding CU to just 37 percent on their home floor on their way to the 26-point win.Â

For the game, Cameron shot just 33 percent from the field while going an uncharacteristic 2-14 from three; CU was strong from the foul line, missing just one of their 14 attempts. They were also out-rebounded 42-24 and the turnovers were even at 17.Â

Maighan Hedge was the only Aggie to reach double-figures in the scoring column, shooting 6-12 from the field and 3-3 from the charity stripe to total 15 points.
Logan Collyer added seven points and had five steals on the defensive end of the floor while
Katie King also had seven points.Â

Juliana Robertson led LCU with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks while Laynee Burr added 16 and Maci Maddox scored 12 off the bench on a perfect shooting night.Â

Cameron is now 13-8 overall and 8-3 in league play this season, dropping them to fifth place in the conference standings. They are on the road next week for two games starting Tuesday, Feb. 15 at West Texas A&M.Â
