PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The 19th ranked Cameron men's golf team ended the Spring Bulldogs Clash with their best score of the 54-hole tournament, shooting a 282 in the final round.

Just seven days removed from winning their first tournament in over four years, the Aggies finished sixth against a field made up of teams all along the east coast. They improved each round, carding a 297 in the first, a 290 in the second and then a 282 in the final round to give them an 869 for the event.

Veteran Tyler Kaman paced the group, finishing in a tie for ninth place with a three-round score of 215. Kaman opened the two-day event with a 74 in the first round and then improved to a 71 in the second. He concluded the tournament by shooting and even par 70 in the final round with a trio of birdies.

Teammate Preston Holmes also had three birdies during his final round, matching Kaman with a 70. The third-year player carded a 74 in the first round and a 75 in the second, giving him a 219 total score, just one stroke behind another teammate Trevor Mierl. The freshman Mierl shot 71 during Tuesday's round.

Fellow CU freshman Hamish Murray also shot 71 during the third round of play, finishing with a 222 after a rough start to the event. He was just a stroke back of Joey Kirk, who sandwiched a 75 with a pair of 73s in the first and third rounds.

Austin Phillips' Aggies totaled 36 birdies throughout the 54-hole event while having the second most pars made in the field with 164. CU's lone eagle came from Mierl on the 18th hole in the final round. Kaman and Kirk each led CU with 35 made pars while Holmes had a team-best nine one-under holes.

The 20th ranked Rogers State Hillcats won the event, shooting a 5-over score of 245, besting second place Lenoir-Rhyne by five strokes. Shorter and Barton College placed third and fourth respectively while Mount Olive finished five strokes ahead of the Aggies in fifth.

Barton's Bryson Boyette and RSU's Luke Palmowski tied for the low score of the event with 7-under scores of 203.
