Murray Sits Top-10 for the Aggies after Day Two

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Hamish Murray leads the Cameron men's golf team after two rounds at the Writz at Mile High at the Bear Creek Golf Club. The Aggies sit in fourth place, three strokes behind West Texas A&M.

Murray is currently tied for ninth place after turning in a round two score of 72 on the par-72, 6966 yards course. Trevor Mierl carded a 73 and now sits tied for 17th. Murray leads all golfers with 29 pars in the tournament.

Chris Somerfield is tied for 32nd place after a round two score of 74, Preston Holmes turned in a score of 78 and is tied for 35th, and Joey Kirk and Ethan Parker are tied for 44th place after Kirk recorded a 79 and Parker finished with a 75.

Holmes sunk six birdies on the day to pace the Aggies, Mierl made four, Murray and Somerfield scored two on the day, and Parker had one.

The team's total score was 372 on the day, giving them a total of 734, placing them three strokes back from West Texas for third and three strokes up on Colorado Mesa. Colorado State-Pueblo leads with a 719.

Max Lange from Colorado School of Mines leads the field with a -4 through two rounds with a score of 140.

The Aggies will return to the links to wrap up the Writz at Mile High on Tuesday.
