Aggies Trio Win LSC Weekly Honors

LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron cross country teams had a trio win Lone Star Conference weekly honors, announced by the league office Wednesday.

Cameron men took home the team titles at the Aggie Duels, while the women finished runner-up to headline the slate of LSC cross country teams in action.

Jake Cousineau, a senior from Fergus, Ontario, was named the LSC Men's Runner of the Week. Cousineau won the 8k at the Aggie Duels, with a time of 25 minutes and 41 seconds, to lead the Black-and-Gold to the team title.

Winning the LSC Women's Runner of the Week, a junior from Ponchatoula, La., Belle Vignes. She took home the individual title at the Aggie Duels and crossed the finish line at the 18 minute and 44 second mark in the 5-kilometer race.

Earning the LSC Men's Freshman of the Week honors was Marcos Herrera. He had an impressive start to his college career, taking home sixth place at the Aggie Duels to open his 2022 campaign. The freshman completed the 8-kilometer course in 27:11.0 to help the Aggies capture the team title.
