LUBBOCK, Texas – Cameron men's track and field took part in three races on the first day of the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships hosted on the campus of Texas Tech at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The Aggies scored four points during the opening day. The distance medley team of Brian Easter, Joshua Villescas, Miles, and Jeppe Sjolin finished in fifth place with a time of 10:38.87.

In the 800, Lamon Miles recorded an 11th-place finish with a time of 1:59.04, Nathan Kemp placed 13th, crossing at the 1:59.75 mark, and Allen Vasquez clocked a time of 2:00.48 to finish in 14th.

AJ Espino, Emilien Gaillard, Edward Kipruto, and Daniel Parra competed in the 5000-meter run but would not finish the race.

Cameron will conclude in the LSC Championships Sunday.
