LUBBOCK, Texas – Cameron men's track and field placed ninth at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championship that concluded Sunday at the Sports Performance Center on the campus of Texas Tech.
Allen Vasquez led the Black-and-Gold in the one mile run finishing in 13th place with a time of 4:31.98, and Brian Easter finished in 15th with a time of 4:39.42.
CU had Adrian Alonso Canales take 15th place in the 3000-meter run with a time of nine minutes and 12.54 seconds, and Edward Kipruto crossed in 18th with a time of 9:35. 32.
Bryce Johnson placed 14th in the shot put, throwing for a distance of 11.54m.
West Texas would take the title with Texas A&M-Kingsville in second and Angelo State placing third.
The Aggies will now transition to the outdoor season, starting at OBU Invitational on March 24 in Shawnee, Okla.
