Aggies End Season with a Loss

Wichita Falls, Texas – The Cameron Aggies close out their 2022-23 campaign with a blowout loss to rival Mustangs.

The Aggies season ended Thursday night against the Midwestern State Mustangs at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls. The Black-and-Gold fell 95-61 despite four CU scorers turning in double-figures. Cameron ends the season with a 4-24 record, going 2-20 within the Lone Star Conference.

Taylor Cox led all Aggie scorers off the bench with 12 points, dishing out two assists and shooting 50 percent from the floor. His bench brigade partner Jaden Okon followed him closely, who posted 11 points with five rebounds, going 5-5 at the free throw line.

In the starting unit, Jaylen Thomas logged a double-double going for 11 points and as many rebounds while handing out three assists and swiping two steals.

Senior forward Colt Savage went out in style, nailing a couple of three-pointers on his way to ten points, five rebounds, and 40 percent shooting from the floor in 34 minutes of action.

Reggie Prudhomme facilitated the offense with a team-high eight assists while grabbing seven rebounds and scoring four points.

This game only saw two lead changes and one tie in 40 minutes of action as the Mustangs shot better from the floor, the three-point line, and the charity stripe to earn a win.
