3. CU comes into the matchup with Angelo State in LSC Tournament, winning both meetings this season after a 61-57 win in Angelo and a 56-54 win at home. The Black-and-Gold has won three straight in the series.
4. ASU won their last game of the season with a 71-55 win over UT Permian Basin to claim the second seed in the tournament over Lubbock Christian. Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant leads the Rambelles in scoring, her 16.3 ppg, third most in the LSC. Sawyer Lloyd (5th) and Madeline Stephens (10th) also rank top 10 in the LSC, averaging 15.5 and 13.6 points per game, respectively. Angelo averaged 67.9 ppg while giving up 61.5 ppg.
5. On March 2, 1965, The Sound of Music, a film adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical play, premiered.

LAST TIME OUT:
Cameron fell in the season finale to Midwestern State on the road 69-65 last Thursday. Alena Wilson led three Aggies in double-figures with 19 points, Katie King scored 16, and Korie Allensworth added 12. The Aggies shot 40.6 percent from the floor, 20.0 percent from three, and made 10-of-13 free throws. Defensively CU would allow MSU to shoot 46.3 percent from the floor and 40.0 percent from long range while making 13-of-25 free throws.

ABOUT THE AGGIES:
After falling in the final game last week, CU finished the season 13-15, 10-12 LSC, and 6-8 DIV. The Aggies are averaging 61.3 ppg while surrendering 67.0 ppg. Cameron finished the season ranked seventh in the conference standings. Wilson, Allensworth, and King lead the team in scoring with 10.9 ppg, 10.5 ppg, and 10.1 ppg. Wilson's 8.2 rebounds per game are fifth in the LSC. King ranks third in the conference for steals (2.3) and has the fifth most assists (4.0), and Kailyn Lay is seventh in assists (3.2). King ranks 39th in the NCAA with her 2.3 steals.

CAMERON IN THE LSC TOURNAMENT:
Cameron has only won three times in the 17 appearances in the LSC Tournament, with the last win coming against Eastern New Mexico last season with an 88-85 victory in the first round, before falling against Texas A&M-Commerce. The Aggies are 1-2 all-time in the LSC Tournament, with the last meeting coming back in 2017 when the Belles won 88-71.

SCOUTING THE RAMBELLES:
ASU won their last game of the season with a 71-55 win over UT Permian Basin to claim the second seed in the tournament over Lubbock Christian. Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant leads the Rambelles in scoring, her 16.3 ppg, third most in the LSC. Sawyer Lloyd (5th) and Madeline Stephens (10th) also rank top 10 in the LSC, averaging 15.5 and 13.6 points per game, respectively. Angelo averaged 67.9 ppg while giving up 61.5 ppg.

THIS SEASON AGAINST ASU:
King was a force to deal with for the Belles in the two games this season. During the first meeting, she scored 18 points with seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals, and during the second meeting, she recorded 19 points with six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. The aggressive play by the Black-and-Gold was the difference-maker in the first contest. Cameron's physical play kept the Belles out of their game plan. The last meeting was a back-and-forth battle as both teams would bend but never break, as the largest lead in the game would be the eight-point lead ASU had early in the second half. Cameron would never lead by more than four the entire game, but the lead that mattered was in the Aggies' favor as the final buzzer sounded. In the fourth quarter alone, there were three ties.

CU AGAINST THE BRACKET:
Overall, the Aggies went 4-6 during the regular season against teams that made the Lone Star Conference Tournament. Cameron won their two games against Angelo State this season, their quarterfinal opponent, and was 1-2 against the two teams they could face in the semifinals (UT Tyler and West Texas A&M) if they won on Thursday.
