MIDLAND, Texas – The Cameron men's tennis team returned to action with a 6-1 win over UT Permian Basin at the Bush Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
CU swept the three matches in doubles, taking a 1-0 lead, with Thomas Cardona and Tomas Almeida winning 6-2 at No. 1, Joao Duleba and Baptiste Mercier taking a 6-4 win at No. 2, and Kristian Kubik and Emilio Seelbach winning 6-2 at No. 3.
Almeida walked away with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, Cardona won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2, Mercier had a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 3, while Kubik claimed No. 4 with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win, and Duleba won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 5.
The Black-and-Gold visits Western New Mexico on Saturday for a 10:00 am contest.
