SAN ANTONIO – Cameron closes the series in San Antonio against St. Mary's with an 8-2 loss on Thursday at The Park.
The Aggies drop to 17-13 overall and 14-10 in the Lone Star Conference, heading into the three-game series against Western New Mexico, which starts Saturday, March 25, at noon.
Kaiden Boren went 1-for-4 with a run, Ashlynn Bruce was 2-for-3, Khmari Edwards had a 1-for-4 game, Kyndel McDaniel was 1-for-3 with a double, and Taylor Rowley was 1-for-3 with two RBI, a run, and a home run.
Robyn Bales started, pitching 3.2 innings allowing six runs, one earned on six hits. Stormee Reed threw 2.0+ innings, surrendering two runs on two hits and five walks, with a strikeout. Jocelyn Bright faced one Ratter and struck her out.
St. Mary's took a 1-0 lead in the first.
Rowley gave CU a 2-1 lead with a two-run home run in the third, scoring Boren.
The Rattlers took advantage of a two-out error in the bottom of the fourth, rallying for five runs to take a 6-2 lead.
StMU extended their lead in the sixth to 8-2, the final score.
